Our Impact
Alicia K. Harris, 2025 Share Her Journey Collective Talent Fellow, at a TIFF 50 development event.
Share Her Journey is a permanent TIFF initiative dedicated to addressing gender disparity and championing women at every stage of their careers in the film industry. By investing directly in talent development, through labs, accelerators, and long-term support, the programme provides the resources necessary for women to lead, create, and share their stories on a global scale. We increase visibility through opportunities and events that connect emerging talent with established industry leaders, ensuring a pipeline of support that lasts well beyond a single project. Because when the stories change, the future does too. Learn More.
Past Winners
Holiday 50/50 winner Chris being presented the ceremonial cheque by TIFF Chief Business & Marketing Officer
Jennifer Frees and Loyalty Coordinator Jordan Beuckx.
Our latest 50/50 winner, Chris, took home the Holiday Raffle jackpot of $39,992.50. He joined us at TIFF’s Canada’s Top Ten in February to celebrate. Chris told us that this unexpected windfall opened the door to both fun purchases, like buying LEGO, and practical decisions, like paying down debt. A TIFF attendee for more than 12 years, he shared this advice for anyone who thinks they don’t have a shot at the jackpot: “Buy a ticket for the cause first and foremost. That way, any win is that much more special.” Chris was one of three jackpot winners last year. Our Debut 50/50 winner took home $64,070, while our Festival 50/50 winner claimed an incredible $125,720.
